Alshaya Group has opened Ulta Beauty's first store in Qatar, a 702 sqm flagship at Doha Festival City that makes Qatar the US beauty retailer's third Gulf market after Kuwait and the UAE.

A second Qatar store opens at Villaggio Mall on 25 November, and debut stores in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain follow in the coming months. Here's what the Doha Festival City store brings:

  • Size and layout: 702 sqm, with Ulta's signature beauty bar and two private beauty service rooms.

  • Brands: more than 250, across mass and prestige makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance.

  • Local names: Qatari-founded Haneen Al Saify and Perfume Factory.

  • US favourites: the Ulta Beauty Collection, Morphe, Orebella, Polite Society, LolaVie, Sacheu, Peter Thomas Roth, About Face and Snif.

  • Luxury: Dior, Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury.

  • Services: makeup, skincare, brow and nail treatments by certified specialists.

The Villaggio store will be a smaller, more intimate space with its own private beauty room and beauty bar.

Kecia Steelman, President and CEO of Ulta Beauty, called the opening "another exciting milestone for Ulta Beauty and our partnership with Alshaya Group." Alshaya Group CEO John Hadden described it as "a proud moment for Alshaya Group."
